On behalf of National Ski Association and the Organizing Committee of the Telemark World Cup in Tux-Finkenberg, Austria we would like to invite all Telemark athletes, trainers and officials to the Telemark World Cup at the Hintertuxer Gletscher.
We are looking forward in sharing this event with you!
GENERAL INFORMATION
Welcome to Tux-Finkenberg/Austria
Situated in Tyrol, between the Zillertaler and the Tuxer Alps, to be more precise, at the end of the Zillertal, you will find a veritable paradise.
You will find yourself at an altitude between 850 and 1.500 metres, with the peaks of the Alps soaring above you up to 3.250 metres. The holiday paradise Tux-Finkenberg has six small villages: Finkenberg, Tux-Vorderlanersbach, Tux-Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit and Hintertux. Together they offer a world of unspoiled natural beauty, health, Alpine views, sporting adventure and family holiday fun – in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Situated in the west of Austria, Tyrol, Tux-Finkenberg is not far from the famous attractions in the Alps. The Nature Ice Palace on the Hintertuxer Gletscher, the Kristallwelten of Swarovski, the Olympic City of 1964 and 1972, Innsbruck and Kufstein with its castle, everything can be reached in a day trip.

ARRIVAL/LOCATION MAP
International Airports:
Tux-Finkenberg is best served by Innsbruck Airport, approximately 90 km away. There is an additional air services via International Airport Munic, 200 km away from Tux-Finkenberg.
Rail Connections:
Direct connections to the 40 km distant target train station Jenbach, to be reached from all regions of Austria and Germany. The further on with the Zillertalbahn and the busses to Finkenberg – Tux – Hintertux.
Private Transport/by road:
Coming from the north (Munich): A93 to Kiefersfelden/Kufstein, A12 to exit Zillertal. Then B169 to Mayrhofen, further on to the L6 Tuxer Landesstraße.
ORGANISATION
This event is organized under the auspices of the Telemark World Cup Organizing Committee. The official address for all correspondence is listed at the end of this document.
REGISTRATION
Registration will be at the office of tourism in Tux-Finkenberg either on 27.11.2013 or 28.11.2013. Due the high interest from PRESS we kindly ask for a short essay which contains all important successes and interesting facts of your athletes and team. Please try to answer to some basic questions like: City of residence of the athlete, hobbies, sports, past results, skiing background, status in team…. Contact e-mail is info@telemark.tux.at.
ACCOMMODATIONS
In the package is included:

ACCREDITATION & RACE OFFICE SCHEDULE
The Race Office is located in the Tux-Center/Tourist Office of Tux-Fineknberg in Lanersbach and will be open in the right times for you to pick up any information needed.
TEAM CAPTAINS MEETING
The first team captains meeting will be held on Thursday, 28.11.2013 at 18:00 h in the Tux-Center.
BIBS
For best 15 athletes (women & men) the public bib draw will be held. Start numbers for all others will be drawn and distributed at the Team Captains meeting. They must be returned immediately after each event.
RULES & INSURANCE
This event will be conducted according to the rules of the FIS. Every participant is responsible for her/his insurance. The telemark World Cup Organizing Committee cannot be held liable in any form.
OFFICIAL NOTICE BOARDS
All changes of the program will be posted on the main board at the Race Office in the Tux-Center. Participants, trainers and officials are responsible for informing themselves. Please check also our web pages http://www.telemark.tux.at for news and details on upcoming events. The pages will be refreshed on a daily bases and covered with news, eventual changes of program etc.
